Another year, another tour, our seventh sojourn to France in February, and this ride was every bit as different as the rest.

The ride was marred initially, when Mark Williams was knocked of his bike by a van near Lee Mill riding down to the ferry. He survived the crash but suffered multiple injuries.

It was a good crossing on very cold clear night, and the ship arrived in Roscoff at 8am French time.

Not far up the road ( about 10 miles) and little white balls started bouncing out of a very black sky. This soon covered the roads and became hard packed making riding almost impossible.

We part slithered and part walked to the ville of Guiclan, where a warm bar beckoned. Once inside the sun came out and bathed the winter in scene on glorious sunlight.
