total of 224 riders entered this year’s classic 100km Audax over Dartmoor. No doubt due to the very poor weather forecast, just 170 set off at Bovey Tracey and 130 made it to the finish at Manaton. Riding through the mists, along lanes strewn with debris, battling the wind on the exposed road to Princetown and then the final climb up Widecombe Hill with strong winds and rain for most of the day. Well done to all who finished or rode, especially to Geoff Sharpe from CTC Torbay who completed the ride on the 12th occasion; and a big thank you to the team of helpers KP |
